Join CHUSY for winter camp! We will enjoy fun outings to the Kalahari water park, amusement parks, and snow tubing!
In the evenings, we will have fun programs like carnivals and crazy movie nights with sweet treats.

When and where is Winter Camp?
Winter Camp will take place December 21–24, 2025. We’ll return in the early evening on December 24th.
Who can attend Winter Camp?
Winter Camp is open to Jewish 4th–8th graders from across the Chicagoland and Midwest area.
How much does Winter Camp cost?

Early Bird Price: $495 (through October 31)

Regular Price: $595 (through December 8)

Full Unsubsidized Price: $810
Thanks to the Michael Hoffman Fund, CHUSY is able greatly subsidize the cost of this event.
What is included in the cost of Winter Camp?
The camp fee covers lodging, all meals, programs, outings, and round-trip transportation.
Where will my child be staying?
Participants will stay in dorm-style rooms at the Perlstein Retreat Center. Rooms are comfortable and supervised, with campers grouped by grade and gender.
What is the staff-to-camper ratio?
Winter Camp maintains a 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio. In addition to adult staff and youth professionals, trained high school teen leaders also help support programming and supervision.
What activities will campers enjoy?
Campers will take part in a wide range of fun and meaningful experiences, including snow tubing, an outing to Kalahari Indoor Waterpark, a movie night, a camp carnival, and more! Programs balance recreation, Jewish learning, and community building.
What kind of Jewish programming will be included?
Campers will participate in fun, engaging morning services and meaningful evening song sessions that bring the community together. Jewish values and traditions are woven throughout the weekend’s activities.
How will transportation work?
Round-trip bus transportation is provided to and from the Northwest Suburbs and Long Grove. Exact pick-up and drop-off locations will be shared with families closer to the event.
What safety and health measures are in place?
Winter Camp is staffed with adults who are CPR and First Aid certified. We take health and safety seriously, allergies and dietary needs will be accommodated. In case of emergencies, staff are trained to respond quickly and will be in direct contact with families as needed.
What should my child pack?
A detailed packing list will be sent to families prior to camp. In general, plan to pack warm clothing, toiletries, and other personal essentials.
