CHUSY welcomes the participation of teens of all abilities, races, Jewish backgrounds, family structures, gender identities, and sexual orientations. We take pride in diversity as well as having a range of viewpoints and backgrounds. We empower youth to perform acts of tikkun olam (repairing the world) and create a community in which everyone is welcome.
Keshet for Disabilities in Chicago is an organization that strives to create an inclusive environment for children, teens, and adults with special needs. They provide support for families of people with disabilities, financial aid and opportunities, as well as education for children with a variety of needs. We work with them to do intakes of participants' needs, provide trained support staff, while they provide expert opinions and support when needed.
Keshet LGBTQ+ works to create an equal environment for all Jews regardless of gender and sexuality. All teens can be who they are and are welcome in a safe, friendly, space. New initiatives regarding inclusive language and gender neutral bathrooms are currently being implemented. Inclusivity regarding gender and sexuality is something we believe is important and we strive to create an amazing, positive experience for everyone.
