Meet The CHUSY Staff
Sam is the CHUSY Community Director, and Jewish community has been at the center of his life since day one.
Growing up in Westchester, NY, Sam's passion for Jewish programming was shaped early — through Jewish preschool, synagogue events, and serving on his USY chapter board. He went on to earn a degree in Marketing from Towson University (2020), where he also served as Recruitment Chair for his fraternity, AEPi, growing the chapter from 18 members to 42 over four years.
In 2022, Sam brought that same community-building energy to Chicago, joining JCC Chicago as a Teen Engagement Specialist. There he led Jewish Student Connection clubs at high schools across the Chicagoland area, served as Chicago's delegation head for the Maccabi Games, and developed meaningful programming for teens throughout the city.
Now as CHUSY Community Director, Sam is thrilled to keep growing the CHUSY community and creating unforgettable experiences for Jewish teens all across Chicago.
Maddie Rosengard is a student at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, studying Organizational Leadership. Maddie has strived to work towards her goals to achieve them. Back when Maddie was in elementary, middle and high school she has always participated in lots of USY events. But in high school, Maddie was a leader on her CBS USY board as Freshman Representative, and Communications Vice President. But when her senior year came around she wanted the bigger role to help and be a leader on REB as the Israel Affairs Vice President. Maddie is very excited to have a great year interning for Chusy!
