From Your Regional Social Action/Tikun Olam VP

Dearest CHUSY,
Three years ago, I was dragged to an ice cream tasting lounge night in BEANS. This night of delicious Ben & Jerry’s was the beginning of my life in USY. Just a few months later, I was elected to BEANS board as none other than SA/TO. Not long after that, I was chosen to co-chair SA/TO Marathon. Then, just a few months later I was running for regional SA/TO. And now, one year later, I have the opportunity to be CHUSY SA/TO for yet another year and I must say, I am more excited the second time!
Last year, we worked hard to ignite that passion for SA/TO in everyone in CHUSY. This year, we are going to feed the fire. By taking hold of our inner passions for social action and Tikun Olam, we will be able to go forth in this year together as one. We will not be silent, CHUSY. We will speak up and make a difference together!
I know, it all sounds a little intense and scary. But, have no fear, we will be just fine. In the coming year, we will work to institute SA/TO Sundays, have the best SA/TO Marathon ever heard of, raise lots of TO from family and friends everywhere, and most importantly, have fun doing it!
We as a region will not stand idly by the mess that is ready to be cleaned up around us! Let’s get our hands dirty for SA/TO!
