Dearest CHUSY Region,
This past year, CHUSY has seen extraordinary achievements in Social Action and Tikun Olam. We have increased our total TO Donation and many chapters have seen incredible increases in their donations. We have proven to ourselves and to International USY this year that CHUSY intends to leave a legacy and hopes to do good through our actions.
At Kinnus, I spoke about implementing new monthly Social Action projects throughout our year. We will work in soup kitchens, paint murals, and provide other invaluable services to the community around us. Also, this year, we will have our first ever, yearlong SA/TO FOCUS! We will be spending our year devoted to the struggle of hunger in the U.S. We will have monthly updates and I will encourage all chapters to devote programs and lounge nights to this topic.
In the past, we have worked hard to inspire enthusiasm in the hearts of CHUSY about SA/TO. This year, that excitement will grow to new, unreached heights. By cultivation our most prominent individual and collective talents and passions, we will grow our SA/TO commitment.
I understand the feeling that SA/TO can be intense or scary, but it never has to be. We will have incredible fun this year while doing SA/TO projects within the region. We will enjoy every minute of fundraising and volunteering that we do together.
CHUSY has an international legacy as a region with a distinct passion and commitment to SA/TO. I have tremendous faith in our region to exceed what is expected of us. I know that we will all make this world a better place together.
I look forward to doing good with all of you!
Yours Truly,
Claire Peaceman
